About the Company

Ideal Electric evolved as a separate company from a parent organization in early 1991. Ideal Electric is a full-services wholesale distributor and manufacturer’s representative of electrical, industrial, telecommunications products, cable, tools and safety equipment. Ideal Electric is an authorized dealer/distributor for more than 200 manufacturers, many of whose products are inventoried in our 30,000 square foot warehouse in Washington, D.C. In addition, Ideal Electric is a privately held woman and minority owned and operated company. Ideal is certified with numerous federal, state and local government agencies.

The company is led by its founders Cora Williams, President and Ken Rogers, Executive Vice President. In addition to their leadership, the company has a strong and experienced management team. The back office infrastructure includes: an integrated inventory management and accounting system, large capacity delivery vehicles, warehouse space with loading docks and knowledgeable sales and customer service representatives.

Management Team

Cora Williams is the co-founder, and President of Ideal Electrical Supply Corporation. Ken Rogers is a co-founder of the company and serves as its CEO and Executive Vice President. With countless years of business, electrical and industrial industry experience, their leadership has excelled the company to its current level as a leader in the wholesale electrical and industrial distribution industry, including its being named the 2004 Regional Supplier of the Year by the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Levi Foster, Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for managing the day to day company operations.  Levi has over 15 years of experience in the electrical industry including several years managing local Square D Sales offices.

Dennis Harris, Vice President of Operations, is responsible for the day to day management of Ideal's inside and outside sales staff and warehouse personnel. He has more than 24 years of management and business development experience. This includes a cross section of corporate management, supervision, proposal writing, developing corporate structure plans, designing technology solutions and management of sales and marketing efforts.

Jean Taliaferro, Controller, IS a proven Accounting Professional with over twenty-eight years of experience as an accountant in the private and public sectors. She has comprehensive financial experience with identification and resolution of business challenges. Jean’s responsibilities at Ideal include are but not limited to, overseeing day to day finance and accounting activities of the company. Additionally, she maintains and improves the company's accounting data processing systems; manages and updates company accounting software and coordinates IT support services as needed; coordinates the year end review process with outside auditors; prepares company budgets; oversees the payroll process and administrates company human resources activities.
