Management team

Cora Williams is the founder, and President of Ideal Electrical Supply Corporation. Ken Rogers is a cofounder of the company and serves as its CEO and Executive Vice President.  With countless years of business, electrical and industrial industry experience, their leadership has excelled the company to its current level as a leader in the wholesale electrical and industrial distribution industry, including its being named the 2004 Regional Supplier of the Year by the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Dennis Harris, Vice President of Operations, is responsible for the day to day management of Ideal's inside and outside sales staff and warehouse personnel. He brings more than 24 years of management and business development experience. This includes a cross section of corporate management, supervision, proposal writing, developing corporate structure plans, designing technology solutions and management of sales and marketing efforts. He owned and operated a telecommunication company for over fifteen (15) years. Mr. Harris is a recent graduate of the Minority Business Executive Management program at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia and holds an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Prince George's Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Almeda University.

Michael J Smith, Director of Operations, Electro-Mechanical Division. His role at Ideal includes marketing, estimating & bidding new contracts, coordinating activities with Project Managers & Superintendents for contracts with DCWASA, the District Columbia Government, Fru-Con, OCC, US Filter/ Asdor, Clark Construction, and W. M. Schlosser. Mike brings more than 30 years experience in the electrical-mechanical field, with the last 18 years in a supervisory roll. He has a complete understanding of process piping systems, pumps, conveyors, & material handing equipment. Extensive experience with instrumentation and electrical systems installation, as well as troubleshooting. He also possesses a working knowledge of PLCs & VFDs.

Sales team

Thelma Edwards is the company corporate secretary as well as an inside sales representative. Her 20 years with the company brings considerable knowledge as to our customer's needs. She handles several of the various government agency accounts and several other commercial industry accounts.

Precious Scott is an inside sales representative, with the responsibility to support some of the company's key client accounts. She has quickly become recognized as one of our utility specialist. She brings a focus to providing customer service to selected client accounts with a goal of gaining complete customer satisfaction and 100% on time delivery.

Joy Norris is an inside sales representative, with the responsibility to support some of the company’s key client accounts. She brings a focus to providing customer service to selected client accounts with a goal of gaining complete satisfaction and 100% on time delivery.

Dale Banks is responsible for supporting the construction industry, local water utilities, local governments and commercial accounts. He has become a specialist in supporting the water and sewer utilities with water meter equipment and parts. Construction project estimation and procurement is his primary area of focus. He handles lighting fixtures, switchgear and miscellaneous construction materials.

Nancy Avery is our customer services clerk with the responsibility of supporting key customer accounts. She serves as the in house customer service clerk supporting our sales representatives and ensuring communications between vendors, manufacturers and our clients. She is focused on providing hands on support to key accounts including implementing processes that assist Ideal in meeting customer satisfaction objectives.
