The position titled “Outside Sales Representative” includes the duties of finding business opportunities and bringing them to the company for response. This includes calling, meeting, and otherwise engaging with perspective clients with this objective in mind. This position will require both, the initial contact and tracking as well as follow-up on client contacts that are provided by management or other lead sources as well as self-directed “cold” contact efforts. Additional requirements include interaction with inside account representatives and management to ensure that the newly acquired clients are properly handled. The role includes advocacy on behalf of all of your clients. This position requires that a regular activity report be prepared and submitted as directed by the Senior Vice President. This report must include a listing of daily activity, including contact information, description of contact results and a summation of expectations as a result of the contact. Local area travel (Washington, DC, Baltimore Metro and Northern Virginia) is more than 85% of the time. This position requires at least one visit to the office per day. Attendance at a weekly sales department meeting is also a requirement.
